Community Photography Workshop (CPW) Delivered by Jack Delmonte Photography
The CPW service is a project commissioned by a client to highlight, document or raise awareness of community issues. The project will engage with volunteers from the target community in a facilitated workshop environment, conducting a series of individual and group exercises. The outcomes will drive action through exhibitions, conferences, websites, and social media. The workshop sessions will combine group and one-to-one tutorage based on accredited participatory photography processes explicitly tailored for the client by CPW.

The Picture This photography workshops were part of This is Us, a creative engagement programme that provided opportunities for local residents to share and explore their experiences of living in Castle Point and their aspirations for its future.
'It has been a real pleasure to work with Jack as a lead mentor and facilitator of a yearlong photography project called Picture This. As part of a wider socially engaged programme: This is Us, funded by Castle Point Borough Council and delivered by collaborative partners Metal and Estuary Festival, Jack’s experience and expertise has been invaluable for guiding the Picture This cohort to respond photographically to place and where they live in both dynamic and creative ways. Jack’s mentorship has ensured photographers of a variety of experience levels and backgrounds have been able to thoughtfully engage, take part and execute their practice to a professional standard, culminating in a well-received group photography exhibition. The Canvey Island, Essex based Below the Wrack Line community participatory workshop, commissioned by an environmental charity.
'Working with Jack to develop the Below the Wrack Line community photography workshops and exhibitions on Canvey Island has been fantastic. He shared his expertise and experience generously, always had an interesting idea or suggestion to bring, and brought such warmth and passion to the project. He was always a reliable, critical and enthusiastic collaborator and the perfect partner in discovery. We were both testing new ideas and didn't always quite know what would happen, but he was sensitive and supportive throughout, which meant we were able to experiment, explore and learn absolutely loads.
